Manor Six Forks

My partner and I have loved living here over the course of about a year. The Manor has recently acquired new management which has been very helpful! When we first moved in, we noticed a lot of grime and trash in the apartment hallways, and around the property that we were surprised about. But since new management has taken over, they have made sure they have kept the building looking nice, promoted community engagement, and have been very responsive via email. We are constantly getting updates each week on what they have been working on. We fully expected our rent to jump dramatically (which makes sense if we are going to be living in a more well-kept building). It only increased by $50 and we are able to sign a 15-month lease. It can be really scary when something like this happens, but management has been very courteous and understanding of the current residents. They have walked us through every step and it feels like we have been part of the decision process in a way (the emails, the suggestion box, the community meetings). Overall, we are very happy with where we have chosen to live.

The introduction of engaging events, a festive holiday spirit, and the delightful ambiance of music in the lobby through Alexa have injected life and vibrancy into the once gloomy atmosphere. The addition of new furniture, water infused with fruits, a sparkling clean pool, and recreational amenities like a golf simulator and pickleball court have elevated the living experience to unprecedented heights. One of the most commendable aspects is Sara's proactive approach to remodeling apartments, breathing new life into the living spaces. It's not just about the physical changes; it's about creating a home, a place that residents can truly call their own. What sets Sara apart is not just her managerial skills but her genuine kindness and unwavering dedication to the well-being of the residents. She has a remarkable ability to connect with people, especially the younger residents, making them feel heard and valued. Her grace and positivity, even in the face of challenges, have turned what was once a dumpster fire into a beacon of hope for all of us who call Manor Six Forks home. I must admit, I used to hate living here, but now, thanks to Sara and her team, I can see a significant improvement in the quality of life. The value for my dollar has gone beyond my expectations, and I am genuinely excited about the great things to come. To those in charge, please recognize the gem you have in Sara Daniels. She is a rare find in the world of property management – a true leader who cares deeply about the well-being of the community. Don't mess it up for the rest of us; take good care of her, so she can continue to work wonders for the residents here. Not a bad place to live (if you don’t mind a recent jump in price thanks to new owners), but DO NOT rent with your bedrooms facing the front of the complex. Imagine living above a bar and a 24/7 gym - not a single night goes by where you won’t hear idiots shrieking at random times in the night. And don’t even mention the annoyingly loud cars and motorcycles…

Carla was very sweet and welcoming! She answered all of our questions and was knowledgeable. there were police there that interrupted our tour twice, wanting to speak to Carla. It was weird, he finally just left his business card on the table and left. It was strange for us to see that, because it seemed they were looking for someone in their complex. After the tour, we went online to look for reviews and such and immediately found that a shooting happened here in 2016 or 2018, can’t remember. So that mixed with the police being there just didn’t sit right with us. It’s a shame because we were SO excited to apply here. regardless of the cops and what we read, i still considered, because it was THAT nice. So I called Carla and front desk about 4 times after I left (gave lots of time in between the calls), and emailed one time because we had a question that we needed to get answered right then and there as they were about to close and it was a Saturday, also they told us to please call whenever we need something. We wanted to lock in the price for our rent and apply straight away so we needed to talk to them. But we weren’t able to do that because no one ever returned our call or email, even with 3 or 4 hours left before they closed. So, we did not and plan to not apply there.
